I’m not great when it comes to what’s hot, what’s new, what’s even happening right now anywhere (like, have you seen this blog? I’m the hungover, sleeping dude in the back of a van, constantly late for class), so I rely on some YouTube channels to let me know what’s happening, but most importantly to entertain me and cut through the bullshit.
I don’t have time. I have gone down too many video rabbit-hole ventures and am strangely getting more impatient as I get older.
So I’ve made a list of some YouTube channels I’m personally subscribed to that make my days more enjoyable.
Mysteries, thrillers, crime, I live for it. Ho boy, if you saw my Netflix ‘Recently Watched’ you might wonder if I have any joy in my life. Blame my mum and her macabre interests rubbing off on my sister and me.
I found out about this subscription almost a year ago while compiling a list of boxes I’d like to review for the blog. After jotting down a full page of boxes (almost all of them I realised much later don’t even ship to Australia) I found a link to Hunt A Killer, an immersive, on-going spiral of intrigue and insanity (my opinion there), where you’re teamed with a penpal who sends you cryptic shit and basically puts a lot of trust in you, but more about that later..
I actually get asked this question a lot when people find out I like photography or plan a new project. Most of the time I’m travelling within Australia and I can’t take much with me. I am one of those people who will carry fewer beauty products and clothes so I have more room for equipment (some I forget to use anyway, but that’s not the point!).
To say the past two weeks have been a shit-show (scientific term) would be a massive understatement. I am in the process of weening off one antidepressant and going onto another, with the added bonus of this whole “Christmas” thing in less than two weeks. While I’m usually very organised when it comes to Christmas shopping, this time around I was finding myself obsessively searching; spending two full days trawling the web for the best presents on a dollar allowance.
I realised quickly thought that I was obsessing and stressing. I couldn’t sit still to write or even watch a movie; my escapes wouldn’t let me escape!
Well, summer is around the corner in Ozland, so that means I come out of my woolly mammoth hibernation chamber, grab the scrubs and get to weed-whacking my body for the
hotter warmer sometimes just ball-crushingly hot days ahead. I know summer has ended in the northern hemisphere, so I’ll be doing a follow-up post with my favourite body lotions to get you through winter.
For now, let’s talk scrubs!
Ahhhh, the 90s. It was different for everyone. For me, it was a great time of crushed velvet and purple lipstick with questionable hairstyles. I am a quintessential 90s kid and like every single one of my kind out there, I miss the 90s. Some things weren’t great, but personally for me it was a great time… maybe excluding the time I crimped all of my hair after having it braided and went to school with an Ala Electrocuted Look. A learning experience, I must say.
