We Tried Making Three Drinks

Hey, drink responsibly! We’re all more isolated which can make alcohol seem like a fun thing to do, just be cautious. Look I know it might sound condescending or like I’m your mother but if you have any problems or even if this post seems too seducing for you, I suggest going here.

I wanted to take a breather from beauty stuff and seeing as we have terrible weather for photography for food (like my food photography is great on here anyway) I thought let’s make some drinks.
So the search was on for some drinks that 1- we like and 2- don’t have many ingredients, since this isn’t a boozy place and I don’t want numerous bottles collecting dust.
Then I remembered that a few weeks ago in my recommended on YouTube, we watched this Epicurious video on how to mix every cocktail and two things emerged while watching it-

  1. The Evil Assistant hasn’t had many cocktails, if any.
  2. Even though it isn’t a cocktail, I really wanted a mimosa. It was 10pm at night.

Happy Halloween!

From us to you, we wanted to wish all of you a happy Halloween! We hope you enjoyed all of our posts, I’m so damn tired now and if I see another pumpkin anything, I’m going to puke.

Before we take a week break to get caught up on some things, let’s christen this budget Barbie camper of a month with some Shirley Devil Temples!

Keeping your Shirley Temple’s grenadine red is awesome and Halloweeny, but since we’ve been making things black we might as well make the grenadine black too!

Get your drinkware and pour whatever soda you wish; it’s usually a lemon-lime soda, 7-Up or Mountain Dew, however, we had a can of Solo and some lemon lime & bitters chilling in the back of the fridge so.. waste not, want not.
Pour syrup into your glasses slowly then add a squeeze or two of black gel food colouring or to your liking. As it swirls round-and-round it darkens, taking on a purple or green colour!
We really hope you have a happy and safe Halloween, thank you so much for popping around and we’ll see you next week when I come out of Halloween-coma!

DIY Drink Syrups, Done 3 Ways

DIY-Drink-Syrups2

This summer I wanted to try to drastically cut down the number of fizzy drinks in favour of something either more water-like or perhaps make my own refreshing drinks. So for the past few weeks, I’ve been looking at various recipes to quench that thirst*

After a lot of researching I decided to make some berry syrups in three slightly different ways and, hopefully, you’ll love them as much as I do.
